Realising Personal and Organisational Goals by using Clinical Hypnosis, Cognitive Hypnotherapy, Hypnoanalysis and NLP Techniques
Welcome to Goals Hypnosis
Goals Hypnosis is a division of Goals Solutions Ltd, the parent company, where we provide strictly confidential and non-judgemental Clinical Cognitive Hypnotherapy and Clinical Hypnoanalysis to our corporate and private clients.
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is nothing more that the "tool" that a Competent Clinical Hypnotherapist uses to bring about the changes that a client desires. It is super concentration of the mind upon a single idea or thought to the exclusion of all other thoughts. Or put another way, hypnosis is a natural state of the mind and is induced naturally and normally in everyday living; for example when we are daydreaming, watching TV, listening to our favourite piece of music, attending a sermon at a church, mosque or synagogue or when we are engrossed in a novel! It is just an altered state of consciousness.
importantly hypnosis is not mind control not is the hypnotised person - the client - under someone else's power. The actual power of change is within the mind of the person who enters the state of hypnosis. Their mind is at all times aware of what is taking place even though they may appear to be in a deep state of relaxation or hypnosis.
There is a huge difference between what a Hypnotherapist or a Hypnoanalyst does and what a Hypnotist does. At Goals Hypnosis we are Clinical Hypnotherapists - we are not Hypnotists!
Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy work well on Children as well as Adults. Hypnotherapy is suitable for children and young people aged 5 to 15. In fact it appeals to children as they are usually very open to hypnotherapy since they generally have fewer misconceptions, as they have not heard of hypnosis, and they tend to be very accustomed to using their imagination a lot of the time.
How does it work ?
The subconscious mind is our driving force we always do what our subconscious believes. The subconscious mind is the part of our mind that stores all our memories and it is where our habits are ingrained. Since it believes anything it is told, provided it is not harmful to us, we can reprogram it by bypassing the conscious mind and substituting new constructive ideas for its existing negative ones.
The acceptance of any new habit requires our subconscious cooperation. But whenever the conscious (or left side of the brain; i.e. the side associated with logic) and the subconscious (or right side; i.e the side responsible for imagination and intuition) are in conflict the subconscious always wins. This explains why smokers are unable to stop smoking – they still imagine the pleasures of cigarettes - or dieters see their weight yo-yoing - they still imagine the delicious taste of unhealthy foods. Willpower alone won’t work because willpower is the left side of the mind and is always overridden by the right side, unless it’s re-programmed to change.
It is important to note that clients are NOT controlled and CANNOT BE controlled in any way when undergoing hypnosis, hypnotherapy or hypnoanalysis. They are only guided by the Hypnotherapist, To that extent clients can NEVER be made to do anything that they would not normally want to do. Clients can and will ONLY do what they actually want to do.
Hypnosis can work on anyone who is willing to give it a try. But, if you are sceptical or have any doubts about it, it may not work on you. Similarly, if for instance, you do not actually want to stop smoking and you come for a session on stopping smoking - where the decision to come has not come from you but from others in your family who have been nagging you to stop - then no amount of hypnosis will work for you.
It is important to bear in mind that there is a huge difference between what a Clinical Hypnotherapist or a Hypnoanalyst does and what a Stage Hypnotist does. At Goals Hypnosis we are Clinical Cognitive Hypnotherapists / Clinical Hypnoanalysts - we are not Stage Hypnotists! Stage hypnosis is a combination of coercion, expectation on the part of the volunteer as well as external pressures from the audience and the Stage Hypnotist. Plus it is the exhibitionists who are normally the ones who volunteer in the first place!
Hypnotherapy sessions are normally carried out at the Cranwell House Clinic in Ingatestone, Essex, which specialises in helping those seeking to quit smoking; suffer from phobias, weight control issues; relationship problems; stress management; anxiety control and continual worrying, to name but a few.
